Children's Worker (male)

We are seeking a full-time Children's Worker (male) to join our staff team in September 2026. This role is an exciting opportunity for those considering church leadership, providing considerable hands-on ministry experience alongside training.

Responsibilities

To work in partnership with parents at St Helen's as they seek to bring their children up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord

Required skills

- Personal knowledge of and obedience to the Christian gospel - Biblical understanding and Bible-handling skills appropriate for the preparation and delivery of talks and Bible studies for children - A minimum of two years of training on the St Helen's Associate Scheme or equivalent training, which includes the Cornhill Training Course (F1, F2 and/or Core) - Ability to work alongside others demonstrating Christian principles and behaviours, particularly with parents and adult volunteers - Ability to oversee and train others in Christian ministry - Planning and organisational skills, including the ability to give clear instructions to others
