We are seeking an individual with experience in safeguarding to fulfil the commitment to safeguard and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk of all cultural backgrounds and abilities at St Helen's.

Responsibilities

The role will mainly be overseeing the implementation of the Diocesan Safeguarding Policy and its associated policies, procedures and guidelines, and ensuring that all disclosures, allegations or suspicions of abuse, current or historic, are taken seriously and responded to in a timely manner.

Required skills

Appointment is subject to an enhanced level DBS check. Diocesan training in safeguarding and child protection should be completed within 3 months of appointment. - Upon appointment, diocesan training in safeguarding and child protection within 3 months of being appointed. This training will be updated at least every three years - Thorough awareness of Diocesan policies and procedures, statutory legislation and guidance
