Bi-vocational Church Plant Resident
City Church Dublin is seeking a bi-vocational church planting resident to join our team for a 2/3 year residency with the aim of launching a new church in Dublin.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will live and work in the city, build evangelistic relationships, serve within the church, and develop a clear vision for church planting under the guidance of our leadership. We're looking for someone with a clear call to church planting, a heart for evangelism, and a willingness to work part-time in the community while preparing to launch a church. The residency includes training, coaching, and ministry experience in a diverse, urban, post-Christian context.
Required skills
1. Evangelism and Community Engagement Intentionally build relationships within a specific neighbourhood or network in Dublin. Seek natural, Spirit-led opportunities for evangelism in the workplace, community, and city life. Host or lead regular missional gatherings or evangelistic Bible studies. 2. Ministry Preparation and Church Planting Strategy Develop a contextual church planting vision and strategy under the guidance of City Church leaders. Participate in regular coaching, theological reflection, and leadership development. Establish a launch team and begin laying foundations for a new church over time. 3. Participation in City Church Dublin Serve regularly within the ministries of City Church Dublin, learning from and contributing to the life of the church. Attend weekly worship, staff meetings, and leadership training sessions. Work collaboratively with elders, deacons, and church members to foster a culture of mission. 4. Vocational Integration Secure and maintain part-time or full-time employment outside the church, using the workplace as a missional context. Model faithful, gospel-centred living in the marketplace.
