City Church Dublin, an evangelical anglican church based in Dublin, is seeking to appoint an Associate Pastor. The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of church life.

Responsibilities

City Church is part of Irish Church Missions, an evangelical anglican mission agency, yet we exist outside the structures of the diocese. We are also part of the Acts 29 network and believe that we could provide a conducive working environment for either anglican or independent candidates. The successful candidate would be primarily responsible for helping to implementing systems of discipleship at City Church and will also be passionate about creating leadership development processes as part of a Dublin-wide collective of churches. Objectives: To lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by managing and cultivating the various adult ministries and discipleship functions of the church e.g. community groups, student ministry. This includes working with the staff team to develop and implement content, curriculum, and processes that helps to grow disciples who make disciples. The assistant would work both in City Church and in collaborate with other gospel-minded people within the city to build a culture of disciple-making and spiritual formation.

Character, Convictions and Competencies: A maturing follower of Jesus Christ who is of godly character and reputation. A man who meets the qualifications for eldership of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9 Is in agreement with the Doctrinal Basis of City Church Dublin. Minimum 2 years experience in a ministry leadership capacity (preferred but not essential). Bachelor's degree aligned with the role is required. Theological training strongly preferred; extensive knowledge of the Bible and theological application is required. Detail-orientated with strong administrative, organisational and interpersonal skills. ensures that all tasks are done correctly, thoroughly, and with precision. Positive and encouraging to those he leads and in the wider staff team. Maintains appropriate discretion and confidentiality regarding personal and pastoral matters.
