City Church Dublin, an evangelical church based in Dublin, is seeking to appoint a Families worker.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate would be primarily responsible for helping to develop a culture of all age discipleship within City Church. This will include (but not be limited to) the implementation of Sunday morning programmes for young people of various ages and abilities. The role will also involve the recruitment, training and resourcing of leaders and the maintenance of safeguarding and child protection compliance. The role also has scope to include collaboration outside of City Church with other church families in the Dublin area.

Required skills

To partner with the Elders in planning, developing and implementing the key aims of Connect, Grow, Serve, Go particular as it pertains to the life of children and young people in the church. To partner with parents, enabling them to bring up their children to know, love and serve the Lord Jesus. This will include writing and/or select materials that can be used by parents in family discipleship. To encourage our youth and children's leaders, and train and equip them in their ministries. This will include providing suitable resources to enable ministries to function effectively. To invest in the lives of children and young people, by prayerfully teaching them God's Word and demonstrating to them what a life transformed by the gospel looks like. To help children and young people understand and take their place in the local church. This will mean helping to identify ways that children and young people can serve the whole church family. To look for opportunities for the church to reach new families with the good news of Jesus. To liaise with the Safeguarding Trust panel, ensuring that all volunteers have had Gardai checks and are trained in our Child Protection Procedures.

(https:// citychurchdublin.ie/about/) Loves children and young people and desires to see them grow as disciples. Loves parents and desires to see them equipped and supported. Demonstrate a deep love for people and a passion for both discipleship and evangelism. Desires to see children and young people participate in the life of the church 2 years of experience as a staff member in a ministry leadership capacity (preferred but not essential). Detail-orientated with strong administrative, organisational and interpersonal skills. ensures that all tasks are done correctly, thoroughly, and with precision. Positive and encouraging to those he/she leads and in the wider staff team. Maintains appropriate discretion and confidentiality regarding personal and pastoral matters. To have a clear Safeguarding history regarding suitability to work with children. Term The initial term for the role is 2 years with the possibility of extension by mutual agreement. Stipend to be determined by mutual agreement
