Communications and Front of House Co-ordinator

This new full-time role commences September 2022. The successful applicant will be responsible for co-ordinating communications including social media, church app and website and located in our church centre to welcome visitors and groups.

Responsibilities

Would suit an enthusiastic Christian believer with an aptitude for communications and familiarity with technology. Key Responsibilities 1. To create regular and engaging content for publicising church events, talks and communications with the church family and local community. To manage website, church app content development and social media by keeping it fresh and engaging. To keep all physical publicity up to date in the church centre. 2. Assist in church admin support, including GDPR responsibilities, updating Google Drives, ensuring the correct permissions are obtained for using photos or video, and selling tickets for events. 3. To welcome and care for all those that come into the centre. Answer the telephone and pass visitors/messages to other members of staff as and when necessary. 4. To provide ad hoc administrative and secretarial support to Vicar and staff team as appropriate. 5. Act in accordance with the Church's policies and procedures (including policies relating to welfare, health and safety, and safeguarding).

Warm and friendly. Excellent interpersonal skills; able to relate well to people of all ages and walks of life. Organised and structured; Comfortable delivering to deadlines. Adaptable & Flexible; Ability to use own initiative. Good communication skills. Able to work both independently and collaboratively (team work).

Other

Salary is in the range £20,000 to £25,000 p.a. depending upon experience. We are a church family of 430 (350 adults) and offer a warm welcome to those who want to join us on Sundays and mid-week. Our passion is for biblical witness and teaching combined with a strong commitment to safeguarding.
