We are looking for someone to join our team as a full-time Ministry Trainee for 1-2 years from September 2025.
Responsibilities
The 3 components of the programme are: 1. Word ministry training on the PT Cornhill Training Course (subject to acceptance by Cornhill), to develop your Bible handling and teaching skills. 2. Ministry at St John's in one principal area, with some involvement in other areas. We are particularly looking for Ministry Trainees to help with our thriving children's and youth ministries, but also welcome applicants who are interested in other areas. 3. Practical service at St John's. A key part of our training programme is to give you the opportunity to grow in servant-heartedness through practical service. We will provide you with a training allowance and accommodation allowance.
Required skills
Desire to serve and learn. We are particularly looking for Ministry Trainees to help with our thriving children's and youth ministries, but also welcome applicants who are interested in other areas. Preparedness to attend Cornhill Training.
Other
St John's Tunbridge Wells is a conservative evangelical church in the Diocese of Rochester, under the oversight of the Bishop of Ebbsfleet. We have an average Sunday attendance of 330 adults and 145 children and teenagers, and offer a warm welcome to those who want to join us on Sundays and mid-week.
