Youth & children's worker

We are 'a genuinely mixed East End church with a passion for straightforward Bible teaching'. Due to growth in numbers and recent staffing changes we are looking to recruit our first dedicated youth & children's worker.

Responsibilities

The core responsibility is to oversee our Sunday morning children's groups (which are led by able and committed volunteers) and lead the weekly group for Y6-9 (currently mostly boys). You will also be on the team for our weekly schools work, potentially taking on leading our schools work and families work generally.

Required skills

You will have some evidence of gifting for this role, but we are open to considering a variety levels of experience (and will remunerate accordingly). It could be essentially a ministry trainee role, with training and support alongside; or for someone more experienced to develop into a families minister and test preaching and wider leadership gifts.

There is significant flexibility in the role and we are happy to consider part time working or training alongside your responsibilities.
