St Anne's is a genuinely mixed East End church with a passion for straightforward Bible teaching. We seek a part-time Operations Manager to take responsibility for the day to day operational running of the church

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities: - To take overall responsibility for the operational running of the life of our growing church, including the building, systems and events; - To provide day to day management of non-ministry paid and voluntary staff e.g. maintenance, cleaning, bookings, administration roles; - To ensure that HR, Data Protection and Health and Safety policies are up to date and adhered to; - To develop and implement systems and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient operations including: o Church management software o Finance procedures o Establishment and oversight of volunteer teams (catering and hospitality, tech etc.) - Day-to-day liaison between the building project team and the PCC/congregation.

Required skills

A committed Christian who is living in accordance with the teaching of the church; - Expertise in project management and organisational and team leadership; - Experience of the working of a church similar to St Anne's; - A high level of initiative with the ability to identify what is needed and to take responsibility for making sure the need is met; - Self-motivated with the ability to work independently; - Strong interpersonal skills in person and in writing; - Experience in relevant fields such as: o Buildings management and maintenance o IT o HR o Financial administration - Willing to be a member of the St Anne's morning congregation for the duration of the employment (candidates unable to fulfil this criterion are encouraged to apply but may not be able to fulfil all aspects of the role).

Other

We currently have funding for 17 hours per week for 18 months. If successful, we may seek funding to extend the role beyond 18months. There is also potential to combine the role with other responsibilities to make up to 4 days a week; - There will be a probation period of three months; - FTE salary of £33k per annum; - Working hours and days may be flexible according to the needs of the role and availability of the person. However it would be desirable to spread the working hours throughout the week and some weekend and evening working may occasionally be required; - The work will generally be on site (either in the church building or the Rectory) although some home working is possible.
