Secondary English and Drama Teacher

We are looking for an enthusiastic Key stage 3 and 4 teacher with an interest in Christian education.

Responsibilities

Bethany School has a vacancy for a: SECONDARY ENGLISH AND DRAMA TEACHER Part time post (one full day and four half days), currently £19,064 p/a gross. This has the potential to become a permanent post, following a one year probationary period. Bethany School is a small, friendly Christian School using a distinctively biblical approach to teaching and learning. We actively promote the involvement of parents with teachers in every aspect of school life. Together, we continue to develop a Christian perspective on the curriculum taught to our children.

Required skills

We are looking for an enthusiastic Key stage 3 and 4 teacher with an interest in Christian education. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English and/or Drama to seniors and GCSE pupils (AQA specification). We will consider applications for one or both of the positions, or splitting KS3 and 4 English for the right candidates if needed. It is a genuine and determining occupational requirement that the successful applicant is a committed Christian and so we will want to hear your own testimony about being a Christian. You will need to be able to tell us about your experience in working with children and young people, and how you hope to teach from a Christian world view, whilst preparing our pupils for their GCSE exams. You will work alongside a supportive team of parents, teachers and helpers.
