Operations Director

The Operations Director, in collaboration with the trustees and the camp group leaders, supports all the practical aspects of the holiday ministries and plays a key role in the development of the strategic vision of the Trust.

Responsibilities

The role is to provide professional support to the trustees and camp groups, embodying the Vision and Values of the Trust, and to leverage those areas that can be addressed as a Trust, rather than as individual camp groups. This involves supporting good governance and the operation of the camp groups. The Operations Director will be the first port of call in any crisis and will usually have a key role to play in co-ordinating the Trust's response. Required skills

The role requires a committed Christian. In addition, the person must have a strong understanding and commitment to the values, work and ministry of the Trust. The person should also have an understanding of how the work of the Trust fits into the broader Christian environment in the UK. The Job Description outlines the different areas of responsibility. Although we do not expect expertise in all areas listed in the job description, candidates should demonstrate delivery in at least one area, or a general background in delivery in a number of areas. The individual should be senior enough to be able to provide crisis management for the Trust in conjunction with the Board. Whilst the Camp Group Leaders contribute to the work of the Trust overall, especially through Executive Committee, they should be free to mainly focus on the work of their own camp group. In view of this we require someone who is senior enough to co-ordinate overall Trust activities.
