Secondary maths teacher

We are seeking a maths teacher able to teach S1-6.

Responsibilities

Teach the BGE curriculum for S1 and 2, oversee the transition to level 5/ iGCSE for S3 pupils and teach the remainder of the iGCSE curriculum to S4s. Lead the pupils in worship and prayer as part of lessons.

Required skills

Direct experience at GCSE or iGCSE, while advantageous, is not essential. The successful candidate will be someone who understands the constitution and ethos of Melville-Knox as a reformed Christian school and who prioritises the spiritual health and wellbeing of pupils in their charge. You will be able to motivate and encourage them in their learning, both spiritually and academically. Additionally, you should be skilled in differentiating for varied abilities and learning needs and be an effective communicator and organised practitioner.

Other

You should be GTCS registered, at least provisionally, to teach Mathematics at Secondary level.
