We are looking for someone to engage the local community by generating ideas and facilitating groups of a creative and restorative nature. With the aim of introducing the creator and restorer of humanity - and helping plant a new worshipping community.
- To work alongside the existing church family and leadership team, making use of The Shed as a community facility. - Outreach into the new housing estates in the parish by a variety of innovative means. - To seek out people with practical skill, and plan and initiate groups of a creative and restorative function, advertising these groups widely within the parish. - Share the knowledge of God as a creator, and the knowledge of God as restorer (through the gospel) using The Shed as a base. - Promote whole life worship, recognising God is worshipped with our hands, minds and indeed in all of life. - Plan, advertise and deliver a wide range of community courses and events utiilising The Shed. - Actively communicate the gospel, directly and indirectly, through the creative and restorative work of the Shed, with a view to establishing a new worshiping community. - Supporting the mission and ministry of Robroyston church first and foremost in prayer.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide cross section of the community, especially those with no church connection - A passion for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and Gods word to non-Christians on the front lines. - Gritt and determination to keep going with gospel ministry when results are not immediately forthcoming. - Being a team player, knowing how to encourage team working. - Ability to work with minimal supervision, using own initiative. - Theological education and / or training either at university or college level.

The nature of the work calls for a degree of flexibility thus hours of work, as agreed with line manager may vary from day to day, including evening and weekend work. - The post is based at Robroyston Church building, although there will be opportunity to work from home for some of the week.
