Discipleship Trainee Programme

The DTP aims to give people the opportunity to develop their giftings and test their calling. It's a year long programme combining service, theological training and an opportunity to grow in faith, gifting and character.

Responsibilities

The Discipleship Trainee Programme is a year long discipleship initiative at Wycliffe Church. Combining service in particular areas of church life, (e.g. media, children and youth, community projects, students), with an opportunity to grow in faith, gifting and character. Working closely with staff members and other mature believers you'll be guided, helped and equipped in a wide range of activities. Seeking to let you develop your gifts and step out of your comfort zone. We want you to make time for participation in a Bible or theological training course plus time with both a mentor and a specific staff member.

This is a self-funding post through part-time work or raising personal support. The church will seek to provide accommodation with a church family, and subsidise food costs, travel expenses and course fees. Participation in the programme requires a minimum commitment of 22.5hrs per week starting September. Open to Christians, of all ages, who wish to spend a year being very intentional about their service, growth, and development.
