Youth Pastor

Are you passionate about growing disciples who go the distance with Jesus? Do you believe in partnering with parents in the discipleship of their young people? Do you get excited about growing teams of disciple making disciples?

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Youth Pastor to oversee our work amongst our 11-18 year olds. We're looking for a growing Christian who is passionate about making young disciples who go the distance with Jesus. You will have an ability to lead and to communicate in a variety of contexts with a diversity of people.

Required skills

We would love to see someone fill this role who can demonstrate these competencies: - A willingness to grow in your relationship with Christ and in your ministry abilities. - A concern to be a disciple making disciple. - Experience of leading gospel-centred youth work. - Empathetic leadership able to inspire and grow teams. - Good communication and facilitation skill. - Growing understanding of youth culture and how to communicate the unchanging gospel into it.

Other

The Youth Pastor will be a member of the Ministry Team; working together to enable the ministry of Saint James. You will be line-managed by the Rector and you will work alongside the Operations Team in the delivery of the youth ministry. A generous budget is available for the training and development of teams, and the maintenance of worship equipment and infrastructure.
