Date posted: 3rd May 2022
Application ends: 20th May 2022

St Paul's Hadley Wood is currently looking for a new Minister. We are a friendly Anglican evangelical church believing that the Bible, God's living word, speaks as clearly today as when it was first written. God made all people in his image and sent...

Responsibilities

... His son Jesus to save sinners, so we welcome anyone, regardless of background, and with the Holy Spirit's help, we hope to share our faith and the Gospel. We have a faithful core membership of 88 adults and we long for a new generation of young people and families.

Required skills

Are you able, with God's help, to... Prayerfully dedicate yourself to the service of God, "and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us" and encourage others to do the same? Preach the word of God faithfully from the Bible, knowing that "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work"? Be a visionary leader with sensitivity and energy to inspire others to make Christ known, building a ministry team of men and women to proclaim the gospel to a diverse community? Lead, train and inspire us in our outreach to young families and help us to develop a vibrant youth church? If so, we would love you to apply.

Other

Our commitment to our new Minister: We shall love, support, nurture and encourage you and help you to fulfil your calling at St Paul's. Please visit https://www.stpaulshadleywood.org/minister-applications.html for more information on how to apply. We hold a complementarian viewpoint and abide by the biblical view that men and women are created equal and different. The leader of our church should be a man, modelling the marriage of Christ and the church and so the PCC has passed the following resolution: "This PCC requests, on grounds of theological conviction, that arrangements be made for it in accordance with the House of Bishops' Declaration on the Ministry of Bishops and Priests."
