Responsibilities

Post aims and objectives. 1. To develop links with children and families in the community and build positive relationships between church and community. 2. To link with parents and children and encourage to attend church activities. 3. To provide pastoral support to families and individuals within the community. 4. To see the wider vision and to inspire with a fresh impetus community work. Roles and Responsibilities 1. To participate in and help run children, family, adult groups, holiday clubs, days out and other seasonal activities. 2. To visit, foster and develop links with local primary schools. 3. To work along side church helpers. 4. To attend and participate in church services on a regular basis.

Required skills

Essential relevant experience/gifting Desirable Qualifications - Born again believer in our Lord Jesus Christ. - Degree or equivalent - IT qualification/good ITskills Experience - In working directly with children, families and adults. - In building up positive relationships as part of community work. - Working knowledge of safeguarding, promoting safety the welfare of children and vulnerable adults. - Working within a church setting. - Working within community groups. - Presenting verbal & written reports. Skills and abilities - Creative, enthusiastic, self-motivated. - Have good organizational skills. - Have ability to engage with a wide range of people of different ages and backgrounds. - Skills in networking skills. - Excellent listening skills, confidence in talking to people, in groups and on a one to one basis. - Good time management, willingness to work flexibly. - Raise the profile of the church in the community. - Musical ability - Drama skills - Full UK driving licence Vision - To capture wider vision of the church and community work. - To see with God's help how they might help fulfil this vision.
