This front-line ministry role has much variety including visiting schools to run Christian meetings and assemblies, as well as assisting with the residential weekends and holidays throughout the year.
Schools Ministry: visit schools to support and run Christian meetings, chapels and assemblies, supporting teachers and developing new links Camps & Events: play a full part in the delivery of residential camps and year-round events, including giving talks, leading bible studies, pastorally caring for young people and sharing the gospel with them Leaders & Discipleship: support the recruitment, training and care of volunteers Wider Ministry: pray for the Glod ministry and those involved, share in admin tasks, set aside time for personal study
Experience of working with young people (eg church youth work, camps, schools) Experience of Bible teaching in small groups/informal settings Confident teaching the Bible clearly and engagingly to young people Strong relational skills Able to work as part of a team and take initiative independently Ability to manage to a varied workload
Warm, approachable and pastorally sensitive Enthusiastic about working with young people, especially in a camp context Flexible and willing to work irregular hours and travel as required (full UK driving licence needed) Willing to learn and grow in gospel ministry
