Ministry Trainee/Intern

The Grace Church Guildford Internship is a fun filled year of ministry experience and training.

Responsibilities

Study This involves an internal study programme set by one of the Pastors of GCG. The study programme involves reading the set material each week, writing reflection papers, and being involved in a weekly a discussion meeting with a Pastor. The training program covers areas such as Ecclesiology, Systematic Theology, Spiritual Disciplines and Bible handling. Ministry Experience Interns get plugged into specific ministry areas. These are normally students, youthwork and seniors' ministry. The student and youth ministries will involve leading at weekly meetings and reading the Bible 1:1 with people. We have an active senior ministry in the community, interns usually attend the coffee mornings, Bible studies and lunch time talks with seniors. Service Each Intern also supports our admin team in order to support the running of the Church. This includes (but not limited to): church building set-up for various events; preparing booklets for church services; preparing music and laptop presentations for church services; being involved with service planning and review.

A desire to learn and serve a local church.
