Harvest Glasgow seeking to appoint a full-time Discipleship Pastor to lead and oversee our adult disciple-making ministries and to seek to impact and influence our other discipleship programmes.
Harvest Glasgow was planted in 2009. We exist to glorify God by growing disciples who love God and love people. We have an emphasis on expository preaching for life change and contemporary worship for heart change alongside a commitment to making disciples through small groups. This dynamic role offers opportunities to equip and strengthen key areas of discipleship in the church. Key responsibilities will include training, supporting, and developing discipleship leaders while integrating evangelism and outreach as central components of the disciple-making journey. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in guiding these efforts. In addition, the role encompasses preaching, some teaching responsibilities within our church programmes and input into our church planting residency. These will sit alongside engaging in pastoral care and the wider activities associated with pastoral ministry.
Clear preaching and teaching gifts. Evident shepherding instincts and abilities. Clear leadership attributes and organisational qualities. Faithful and humble character in keeping with Galatians 5: 22-26. Spiritual maturity and discernment A recognised level of theological training. Strong relational and communication skills.
