We're looking for a passionate and organised Operations Manager to play a key role in supporting the vision of our growing church, by overseeing the day-to-day operations and ensuring smooth systems and processes that enable ministry to flourish.

Responsibilities

- Oversee church operations, including financial, HR, and office management. - Work with the Lead Pastor to develop and implement strategic plans. - Manage church finances, including bookkeeping, payroll, and reporting. - Oversee building management, including maintenance and external hires. - Ensure smooth running of events, Sunday services, and church gatherings. - Coordinate communication across the church and leadership teams.

- Has experience in operations, administration, or church leadership. - Is a strategic thinker with strong organisational skills. - Can build and manage teams of staff and volunteers. - Has experience with financial management and reporting. - Is a committed Christian with a heart for church growth. Essential Criteria > A committed Christian with a heart for church ministry and mission. > Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to manage staff and volunteers. > Proven experience in operational management, including financial oversight, office administration, and HR processes. > Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and strategic mindset. > Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to liaise effectively with church leadership, staff, and external partners. > Experience in budget management and financial reporting in a church or charity context. > Ability to oversee building maintenance and facilities management. > Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. > Comfortable with using IT systems, including Microsoft Office, database management, and financial software. Desirable Criteria: > Experience working within a church or faith-based organisation. > Understanding of Church of England governance and operations. > Knowledge of fundraising, grant applications, and event management. > Familiarity with safeguarding and compliance policies in a church context.
