Holy Redeemer is a growing international evangelical church. Our apprenticeship scheme (from August/September 25) will include formal training at the Cornhill Training Course and 'on the job' training with mentoring from our Minister and other staff.
The programme runs from August/September 2025 to August 2027 and there are 3 key elements to the apprenticeship: 1) Theological training: in addition to in-house training from senior staff in the church, you'll spend one day a week at the excellent Cornhill Training Course along with many others from around London and beyond. 2) Ministry experience: each apprentice will be involved in some of the key ministries in the church and will have opportunities to teach the Bible and receive feedback: Connect groups (mid week bible study groups) Youth ministry Children's ministry Schools work (we hope assemblies and lessons) Evangelistic Courses (Christianity Explored, 321, God's big picture) Reading the Bible one-to-one with Church members Preaching (where appropriate) 3) Serving opportunities: apprentices will also have opportunity to serve in a variety of practical ways, including administration and practical tasks necessary for various ministries to run.
Holy Redeemer Streatham's Ministry Apprenticeship is a two-year programme for those considering full-time ministry or anyone keen to learn more about working in the Church while being trained in the core skills of understanding and communicating the Bible's message to others. We are open to accepting those just wanting to learn more as well as those either exploring or with a settled conviction that full time ministry is their goal.
For all our aim is to train clear and competent messengers of the truth through combining study at the Cornhill Training Course with working alongside an experienced staff team and an active, serving church. Accommodation, maintenance allowance, and tuition fees provided.
