Director

The Director of True Freedom Trust (TFT) is tasked with developing a long-term vision and strategy for TFT's ministry and working with the staff team, Trustees, Voluntary Workers, and members to deliver that vision.

Responsibilities

The Director's role is to lead and oversee all areas of TFT's ministry, working with the Trustees to set the strategic direction of the organisation, and managing the staff team accordingly. Provided that the key responsibilities set out in the Job Description are prioritised, there is some flexibility as to how the Director balances the remainder of his/her working time.

Required skills

A successful candidate would need to be able to listen, inspire, communicate and lead the membership of TFT. They would have particular contact with a core of around 200 people, who are the main donors, volunteers and conference attendees. They would need to be excellent at leading a geographically-spread team of staff and volunteers, and able to delegate work effectively, whilst ensuring that the work is performed in line with our policies.

Other

Candidates would need to be able to develop TFT's vision, and then lead the team of staff and volunteers in delivering this vision. The Director acts as a figurehead for TFT, and needs to embody the values of the the ministry.
