We are seeking a Volunteer Manager (maternity cover) to Tamar, All Souls Serve the City (ASSTC)'s ministry to women involved in sexual exploitation, some of whom have been trafficked.
- Oversees all aspects of volunteer recruitment, coordination, training and support including the on-going development of Tamar volunteers - Plans for people resources over time, ensuring Tamar has a 'pipeline' of volunteers to engage in all aspects of the ministry - Works closely with the Head of Tamar to assess the effectiveness of support provision to volunteers and drives operational improvements - Maintains and documents all effective operational processes and policies concerning all volunteers, identifying improvements and developing others as required - Liaises with All Souls finance team regarding aspects of Tamar's finances relating to volunteers - Liaises other ASSTC ministries, as required on volunteer management and other tasks - Acts as a representative of Tamar and ASSTC, including speaking at internal and external events, participating in team meetings and leading prayer times, as required - Assists with other aspects of the day to day running of Tamar, as required
Essential - University graduate or equivalent - Excellent administrative, analytical and organisational skills - Strong team leadership skills with experience of managing volunteers - Excellent interpersonal skills and pastoral care experience - Experience of recruiting, overseeing and training volunteers of a variety of cultures backgrounds - Design and deliver training material to volunteers - Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing to people from a variety of cultural backgrounds - Project management - IT & word processing skills (Google Workspace, MacOS, MS Office) - Comfortable working with a database - Whole life disciple wanting to know Christ more and grow in grace, obedience and Christ-likeness themselves - Having a servant heart and seeking to live a life of Christian integrity - Committed evangelical Christian in full sympathy with the vision, mission and values of All Souls Serve the City and All Souls Church - Proactive, with the ability to draw out the gifts of others and delegate as well - Excellent organisational and time management skills which demonstrate an attention to detail, an ability to prioritise and ability to balance the demands of the role - Resilient, with an ability to handle pressured situations with calm, tact and wisdom - Committed to self care and pursuing a healthy work-life rhythm - A flexible team player - Ability to self-reflect and be self aware of own boundaries Desirable - Experience with safeguarding reporting and follow up of concerns - Experience of working or volunteering within the sector - Lived Experience of the sector - Familiarity with Salesforce - Training and overseeing volunteers entering data into a database
