Rooted Churches is seeking to appoint a full-time church planter. This post is fully funded for 5 years and includes an initial 9 month training and assessment programme.
The Church Planter will spend time working in a Rooted Churches setting to prepare for planting a church while also having the opportunity to develop a launch team on location. The Church Planter will work under the oversight of the Rooted Lead Team to complete the training programme, grow a launch team, build relationships with existing partner churches and benefit from the wisdom and experience of other church partners. Training and Assessment (Year One) Attend weekly training modules and engage with teachers, content, assigned reading and local church activities. Meet with the Rooted Lead Team and local Elders regularly for assessment and feedback. Complete the training program prior to being commissioned to plant a church in your location. Church Planting Gather and grow a launch team to carry out and support the planting of a church in your location. Cast a compelling vision of why you are planting a church in your location. Work with the Rooted Lead team to assess the progress of the launch team. Make regular contact with partner churches to update them on planting progress. Develop a prayer strategy to gather prayer support for the church plant.
Clear preaching and teaching gifts. Evident shepherding instincts and abilities. Developed leadership attributes and organisational qualities. Faithful and humble character in keeping with Galatians 5:22-26. Spiritual maturity and discernment A recognised level of theological training. Strong relational and communication skills
