We are seeking someone with organisational expertise and a servant heart to enable the effective ministry and mission of our church. A full-time role, but a part-time post would be considered for the right applicant.

Responsibilities

1. Administration Supporting the Minister for Pastoral Operations with the smooth administrative running of the church and also compliance (data protection, safeguarding, etc.) Overseeing the church office's administrative processes and procedures, and ensuring they run efficiently at all times. 2. Church family communications Overseeing the implementation of the church's internal communications plan, with significant input into the development of the plan. 3. External communications Overseeing the church's external communications plan, with significant input into the development of the plan. Depending on skills, this may include the design and creation of publicity and supporting materials.

Required skills

Excellent interpersonal skills Strong administrative abilities Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written. High levels of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas of work. Used to handling highly confidential information with complete discretion. Confidence and competence in using IT to bring efficiencies to the work Excellent time management and organisational skills.

Ability to move quickly between the big picture and the detail. An ability to work well with volunteers, providing vision and direction. Able to handle sensitive information with the strictest confidentiality and in a calm manner. Judgement regarding when to take decisions on own and when to refer.
