Date posted: 14th May 2024
Application ends: 9th June 2024

We are looking for an adventurous Youth and Families Minister keen to take up an exciting new challenge during an exciting season in our church's life. If you are passionate about youth work we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Your role will be a combination of developing and growing the youth ministry at All Saints by helping young people to live with God at the centre of their lives, linking with schools and supporting parents in the discipling of their children. Secondly as we look to plant a new worshipping community in the local Housing Estate we will be exploring creative ways of reaching out and engaging with those who are unchurched and dechurched, seeking to bring them into living relationship with Jesus. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new leadership team at the start of a new season, with growing numbers of young people as they seek to establish and grow new worshipping communities within the Merstham area.

Required skills

In recognition of the importance of this project to this community we have additional Church of England funding, some of which is targeted directly towards growing a vibrant and transformative youth ministry in and around Merstham. All Saints are excited by this project and hope that this will provide an opportunity for someone who is passionate about Church growth and development. Please email hr.admin@southwark.anglican.org for a job information pack with full details. This is a unique opportunity to 'write the book' of youth work in Merstham in an area of social and spiritual need which has never had a full-time church youth worker before.
