Ministry Trainee

We're a vibrant Evangelical Anglican church (2 congregations) in Bath, with people of all ages/backgrounds, committed to learning from the Bible. We seek an additional MT from Sep 24 to explore ministry gifts while receiving biblical & on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

As a Ministry Trainee, you will help us in our mission to reach the local community and beyond, with the possibility of assisting in an anticipated church plant/revitalisation, working amongst students, youth and children and/or other areas. You will have plenty of opportunities to develop your gifts, helping disciple younger Christians while also growing in Christlike character within a friendly and welcoming church family and participating in the SWGP Ministry Training Course.

Required skills

A committed Christian who loves the Lord and has a heart for sharing the Gospel, wanting to develop in godliness while exploring ministry opportunities. Someone who agrees with our Values and Vision: https://www.stbartsbath.org/about-us/values-vision/ All trainees will be required to have an enhanced DBS check.

Other

All trainees attend the SWGP Ministry Training Course (www.swgp.org.uk/training). We offer one-to-one Bible study and weekly supervision meetings including individual book study with a member of staff. There are also ministry training meetings in areas that the MT is exploring, opportunity to attend a conference and the possibility of visiting one of our mission partners.
