Schools Worker

Schools Worker: Slough, Windsor and Maidenhead Christian Connections in Schools (CCiS) requires a full time schools worker to help make Jesus known in our local schools, and to work alongside our current experienced worker.

Responsibilities

The role includes advocating the Christian faith, lifestyle and support work with children and young people; establishing and maintaining contact with local churches; and recruiting, equipping and supporting volunteers. The role will include some weekend and evening commitments. We are willing to consider a part time worker or job share.

Required skills

Must have direct on-going experience of work with children and young people in the UK (employed or voluntary) Good written and verbal communication skills, and able to convey the Christian gospel confidently and appropriately to groups of varying sizes, ages, abilities and faith backgrounds. Willing and able to work alongside other professionals Ability to organise own workload and to work on own initiative Ability to identify and recruit volunteers and supporters from local churches, and to train and resource them Basic I.T. skills including word processing and email Car driver / owner and willing and able to use own car for work purposes Relevant educational qualifications desirable
