We're a Conservative Evangelical Anglican church in a vibrant, 'up and coming,' multicultural NE London. We're looking to employ a godly man to work alongside our Vicar and Women and Families' worker in growing and making disciples among men and families.

Responsibilities

We hope the ministry can develop in line with your own gifting. But we expect the role to include: * Growing and making disciples among men and young people of all ages and stages * Providing pastoral care among men and young People in the Church Family * Equipping men and young people for ministry and evangelism through teaching the Bible in a variety of contexts and to a range of ages e.g. preaching, leading services, Bible Studies, 1-2-1s, training courses, St John's Sports Club, Youth and Children's work, Schools ministries etc. * Working alongside the Vicar and Women and Families' worker in the day to day leadership and activities of the Church – attending staff meetings, prayer meetings, PCC and Church events * Mucking in with the general running of the Church e.g. practical and administrative tasks

Required skills

We urge everyone in our Church Family to 'engage and evangelise' everyone not yet following Jesus and we seek to 'establish and equip' everyone already following Jesus. First and foremost, we are looking for someone to be a member of our Church Family – someone eager to grow as a disciple of Jesus and eager to see people rescued and transformed by Jesus. You will use your gifts to serve Jesus and His people – just as we encourage all followers of Jesus to do. We also expect you to spend time each day in personal Bible reading and prayer. We are looking for a godly man: - spiritually mature, with previous ministry experience and some suitable theological training (e.g. Cornhill, apprenticeship, degree) - who shares our (complementarian) conservative evangelical convictions - able to teach the Bible in a variety of contexts to a range of ages e.g. sermons, Bible Studies, 1-2-1s, evangelistic talks and to train and equip men, children and young people for ministry - who we can love, support and delight in seeing grow
