We are seeking a Minister to work alongside our Senior Minister in leading, teaching and discipling the congregation with a particular focus on ministry to students.
Regular preaching in main Sunday services Planning the structure and shape of ministry among students, including supporting student CU leaders Oversight responsibility for Safeguarding, supporting the Youth & Families Ministers in ensuring policies and processes are appropriately in place and followed. Working as the main point of contact with the Safeguarding officer and Diocesan Safeguarding teams for escalation in specific situations Lead responsibility for evangelism and outreach, encouraging, enabling and supporting the whole church family Involvement in other areas of church life as needed and appropriate to capacity and load
Ordained Anglican minister post-curacy, or with equivalent theological training and 3+ years of ministry - Experience in leading teams – recruiting, overseeing and training others - Effective Bible teacher, able to preach and teach clearly, engagingly and faithfully to build up the people of God - A love for Christ and his church, combining a conviction that the word of God is the way to build the people of God with a deep care for every individual - Strong interpersonal and relational skills, trusted and respected by those under pastoral care - Organised, with ability to manage significant and complex administrative requirements effectively - Interest and enthusiasm in working with young adults.
