St Ebbe's is a large and diverse community from all walks of life, meeting in the centre of Oxford. We are seeking to appoint a godly Christian to help in the leading of our children's and/or youth ministry.

Responsibilities

The Associate Minister (Children/Youth) works alongside and supports the Families Minister in caring for and discipling the children and young people in the church family. The role involves oversight of several groups each week, including on a Sunday and midweek (Monday or Friday evenings). The exact nature and specific tasks of the successful candidate will reflect their own gifts and experience, but a summary of the main responsibilities is outlined below: - Maintaining and strengthening the partnership between parents and the church in the discipling of children. - Helping to devise and resource the teaching curriculum in the children's/youth ministry. - Supporting, training and resourcing leaders to deliver the teaching curriculum. - Leading and overseeing some of the children's/youth groups directly. - Coordinating and leading the Holiday Bible Clubs. - Helping to organise social events for children, young people and families. - Following and implementing the church's safeguarding policies. The role involves being a committed member of St Ebbe's, participating in staff meetings, and playing a full part in church life.

Required skills

- A prayerful, godly Christian, with clear evangelical convictions, in full agreement with, and able to sign, our Statement of Faith. - Someone with proven gifts in teaching the Bible and relating to children and young people. - Someone able to lead and inspire a team of volunteers.
