Responsibilities

CORE on Sunday - Sunday Morning group for 9-13s, during morning service CORE Midweek - Evening youth club for 9-13s, currently held Thursday 6:30-8pm FUSE Midweek - Evening youth group for 13-18s, currently held Friday 7-8:30pm Pastoral meetups ith young people and their families Weekly meetings with the associate minister and Children's and Young families co-ordinator Meetings with youth leaders and helpers to plan and equip Termly meetings with the PCC Youth & Children's Committee for strategic review & guidance Attending and serving at our Sunday Services Involvement in a Church Home Growth Group Monthly meetings with the whole staff (currently Wednesday lunctime ) Lunch clubs, CU, Assemblies in local middle and upper schools Contact with The WAY, youth workers, police etc. Social Events, Youth & Church Weekends, Summer Camp, Baptisms

Required skills

- A strong personal faith and trust in Jesus Christ - A good working knowledge of and love for the Bible - A person of prayer - A person who has an understanding of the Church of England and the wider Christian Church - A visionary leader with a servant heart - Able to teach the Bible in a relevant way to youth, with appropriate qualifications & experience - A passion for working with youth and well connected with Youth culture - Ability to build good rapport & relationships, and exercise pastoral care to youth - A good team player, able to build relationships - Able to envision, lead, enthuse, train and energise others in the work - A willingness to lead from the front: lead groups, take assemblies and give talks in church
