The Church Operations Manager will ensure that church life runs as smoothly as possible including admin, centre management and supporting church members as they serve Jesus here.

Responsibilities

The heart of the role is to bring glory to Jesus by resourcing ministry and mission at St Patrick's. As the Church Operations Manager you have oversight of all the operational functions across the Church and the Centre. You will work closely with the vicar, churchwardens, staff and volunteers. The aim is to ensure that all aspects of church life run as smoothly as possible including recruiting and supporting church members as they serve Jesus at St Patrick's. In particular, you will be responsible for the following areas: The Office As Church Operations Manager you will have oversight of the Church Office supported by the Church Administrator whom you will line manage. Part of the functioning of the office is that it is the first point of contact for many people. When the Church Administrator is not available, all staff present in the office will need to be able and willing to offer appropriate spiritual and practical support to those who drop in from time to time. Centre Management Our Centre opened in November 2022 and you will have oversight of this fantastic new building. Our priorities are that, through the new Centre, many people hear the gospel, our local community is blessed and the church family is built up. As Church Operations Manager you will be key in making decisions regarding the promotion, use, hiring and maintenance of the new Centre in line with our vision and faith. Communications You will oversee both the external and internal communication of the church, in line with our goal of building the church family and making the church more visible. The role will include contributing to and issuing communications that relate to faith.

£32,000 per annum, pro rata 20 hours per week (0.5 FTE). The work will be spread over 5 days, including a couple of hours on a Sunday.
