We are looking for an enthusiastic front-line Women's Ministry Worker to join our local Addiction Ministry team in Glasgow.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic front-line Women's Ministry Worker to join our local Addiction Ministry team in Glasgow who: is a committed Christian and loves the Gospel and the Lord Jesus Christ; preferably has lived experience and is a member of a local church. - Pastoral care of one-to-one and small group ministry with women. - Working with colleagues to lead and develop the ongoing Road-to-Recovery Programme. - Share responsibility for the delivery of our Evening Support Meetings. - Develop our work with Recovery communities in the City. - Grow partnerships with Churches and addiction/outreach services.

Required skills

- Experience of working with women with addiction issues and complex needs. - Possess a proven ability to handle Scripture and communicate well with Women. - Be a team player with good relational skills and well organised. - Have a demonstrable enthusiasm and heart for coming alongside and engaging with others. - Have a Christ-like attitude.

Other

The person we are looking for will preferably have a minimum of 2 years abstinence from alcohol and drugs. The post holder will require a PVG check and will have the right to live and work in the UK. Due to the nature of the role, there is an occupational requirement that the holder be a practising Christian under part 1 of schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.
