Youth and Children's Leader

Do you have a heart committed to youth and children coming to and growing in faith? Can you relate well to children, young people and their parents? We are looking for a faithful, enthusiastic and skilled Christian to grow our ministry to 0-18 year olds.

Responsibilities

To be a member of All Saints Fordham & Eight Ash Green Church & and Staff Team. To run the All Saints Club (Sunday Mornings) including oversight of the Leaders Team. To run the 421 Youth Group (Friday Evenings during term time) including oversight of Leaders Team. Organise termly event for families with children in the church, schools and parish. Assist with the practical organisation of school seasonal services (Harvest, Christmas, Easter, Leavers)

Personal - A heart commitment to youth and children coming to faith and growing in faith. - Able to relate well to children, young people and their parents. - Adaptable, enthusiastic, creative and relational with a sense of fun. - Teachable and eager to learn. - Resilient with the ability to deal with challenges. - Able to lead, manage, motivate, and support others. - Ability to manage own workload and to be self-motivated. - Able to work independently and in teams with staff and volunteers. - Understanding of safeguarding/child protection procedures. - Competence in using electronic and social media to deliver aspects of the role. - Full drivers' licence Leading and Teaching - Previous experience of children's and/or youth work in church and/or extra-church settings (e.g. Christian camps, Beach missions etc). - Able to communicate the Bible clearly and with warmth, marked by personal godliness and integrity. - Aiming for age-appropriate content and depth whilst working to create enjoyable groups and events. - Understanding of different learning styles and the ability to create and use visual aids. - Ability to innovate new ideas within current ministry structures.

Other

The post can be part-time (minimum 21 hours per week) up to full time (35 hours per week). One-year fixed term contract with the possibility to extend.
