We are looking for someone to carry out, develop and support all aspects of our children's, young people and families' work.
To work with and support existing youth and children's activity leaders and develop a team for this work. Leading the Youth Fellowship work including developing and mentoring the teenagers in our Church family. Build relationships with the local community and community group, with a focus on families and young people. Seek and develop opportunities for additional outreach. Supporting families in our congregation and building relationships with them. To continue and to develop the work in local schools and build trusted relationships. To be a point of contact for youth and families' ministry within the church and community. To share in leading worship, particularly where families and young people attend. To work with others in similar roles locally.
Experience in Christian outreach and ministry Experience of working with young families, teenagers and children Experience of sharing God's word with others An understanding/experience of the challenges of working within varying school environments Strong people and communication skills Organisational skills – including events Ability to work on own initiative Able to work flexibly including evenings and weekends
