Community Outreach Pioneer Do you have a heart for outreaching to local community - sharing the hope and love of Christ, building God's kingdom in and around Martock and investing in the lives of the local community? Martock Christian Fellowship (MCF) has an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for and calling to community outreach to join our team on a full-time basis. Following a strong background of community outreach work in recent years God has enabled us to resource this full-time role in order to further build and develop MCF's outreach ministry. The role will consist of 3 main elements – - To manage The George community coffee shop (approx. 28 hrs pw) To take the lead on MCF's community outreach coffee shop provision, working with the leadership team to develop vision and strategy and outworking that vision and strategy on a day-to-day basis. To take responsibility for achieving the missional aims of the coffee shop as well as all practical elements of running a successful and financially viable non-profit missional coffee shop. - To co-ordinate the Transforming Lives food bank (approx. 5 hrs pw) To co-ordinate and oversee the missional aims and operations of the Transforming Lives food bank which runs on a Wednesday every other week, including the week-to-week operation, fundraising, client management, partner liaison, practical organisation and reporting. - To develop and outwork new areas of outreach (approx. 7 hrs pw) This time is allocated for the post holder to explore and outwork new areas of missional community outreach. We anticipate this will be shaped by the church's overall vision, the postholder's own skill, passions and giftings, and the leadership and post holder collectively seeking and interpreting God's plan for outreach in Martock.
