Responsibilities

The student worker's main responsibilities will be: (a) Deciding on - and implementing - student specific teaching and training; (b) Praying for students and the student ministry; (c) Organising and overseeing student small groups; (d) Co-ordinating the pastoral care of students; (e) Organising and equipping the team of volunteers that lead the student ministry; (f) Arranging one-off events, such as student reading weeks and weekends-away. In carrying out these responsibilities, the current student worker reports to Emmanuel Westbury's pastor and elders.

Required skills

- A commitment to pray for the students, the student ministry and Emmanuel's wider church family. - Experience and ability of teaching and applying Scripture (whether in one-to-one context, in larger groups and/or preaching) - A track record of discipling and caring for students through biblical teaching and practical care. - Evidence of leading, caring for and training teams of volunteers. - The ability to independently motivate yourself, organise yourself and others and use your time well. - An awareness of your strengths and weaknesses and how these impact others serving with you on team and in pastoral contexts

Other
