Aigburth Community Church is an FIEC church that seeks to be "in the heart of the community with a message of good news for all to hear". We are looking for a new full time Pastor.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a full time teaching elder/pastor who loves the local church. The successful applicant will: - shepherd the church through: o biblical preaching and teaching (2 Tim 4 v1-2); o prayer; o discipling church members. - work alongside the members, church staff and unpaid elders to shape church life.

Required skills

Essential requirements: The successful candidate will: - have a personal faith in Jesus Christ; - have demonstrable qualification for the role in accordance with Scripture (1 Timothy 3 v 1-7 and Titus 1 v 6-9); - demonstrate growth in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3 v18) through personal Bible study and prayer; - demonstrate dependence on Christ; - love the local church; - have experience of blessing and equipping local church members as a teaching elder / Pastor; and - demonstrate theological convictions aligned with the church statement of faith and doctrinal distinctives. Desirable Requirements: Relationships The successful candidate should demonstrate an ability to lead, develop and encourage: - a staff team in their theological, pastoral and behavioural gifts; and - church members in delivering church ministry. Organisation The successful candidate should demonstrate: - self-discipline and enthusiasm to work alone and in teams; - willingness to work flexible hours when appropriate; and - efficient administrative capability. Qualifications and Training The successful candidate should demonstrate: - experience in church leadership; and - a commitment to growth in scriptural knowledge and love.
