To be responsible for the maintenance, readiness, safety and security of the church buildings in order to facilitate the mission of the church to bring glory to God through knowing Jesus and making Him known.


Site maintenance, building projects and contractor management, security, health and safety, budget management and procurement, managing the use of the buildings, cleaning, supervising the Buildings Assistant and the practical work of the ministry trainees.

Required skills

- Previous experience of Facilities or Buildings Management - Good understanding of health and safety legislation and best practice - DIY experience in basic tasks, sufficient so as to make basic fixes or effect simple repairs - Literacy in written and spoken English, such that the person can give and receive instructions, draft policy documents, communicate with suppliers, contractors, neighbours and other external contacts - MS Office - Numeracy such that the person can check invoices and order forms


- Personal knowledge of and obedience to the Christian gospel - To work alongside others demonstrating Christian principles and behaviours - Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised as well as part of a team - Ability to work alongside the Operations Manager and Buildings Committee
