The Proclamation Trust is one of the UK's leading providers of training in Biblical preaching and teaching. This is an opportunity to join our team and be at the heart of the Cornhill course, which trains men and women in partnership with the local church.

Responsibilities

The Cornhill administrator takes the lead in most areas of administration for the day to day running of the Cornhill Training course. The role includes but is not limited to: - overseeing the administration of the overall timetable - liaising with lecturers (internal and external), including printing handouts for all lectures, welcoming external lecturers, liaising over their travel, expenses, etc - organising (over the summer) the division of students into teaching practice groups, and organising the teaching practice sessions throughout the year, including liaising with dozens of visiting group leaders - acting as main point of contact for current students, communicating information to them and answering their questions - acting as main point of contact for the church supervisors of current students, communicating information to them and answering their questions - communicating the needs of the course within the wider support staff team - managing the database which underpins much of the administration (training in using the database will be provided) - running the administration for the Cornhill summer school, and Cornhill end of year service The successful candidate is also likely to be the PA to the Cornhill Director, Nigel Styles.

Required skills

Suitable candidates will be highly efficient and organised administrators, with good attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Good time-management skills will also be required to meet the demands on your time. Previous experience in administrative work is highly desirable, but training and guidance can be given. This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled administrator who enjoys using their initiative and working alongside others.

Other

This is a full-time position and it will require the individual to work from our offices in Elephant and Castle from 08:30 – 16:30 during term-time. Outside of term-time, there is the opportunity for some flexible/remote working. The salary is around £30,000 per annum. You must be available to start work in May 2023 (although earlier is preferable). This is a full-time permanent post. It is a genuine occupational requirement that the office holder be in sympathy with the aims and beliefs of The Proclamation Trust.
