Youth and Children's Minister

Youth and Children's Minister - Full or Part-time To serve in a growing, multi-cultural church family who are seeking to know Jesus better and make Him known in one of the most deprived areas of the city.

Responsibilities

The role of Youth and Children's Minister includes: 1. Being involved in the outreach and the pastoral care of children, teenagers and their families. 2. Overseeing and developing the midweek and Sunday Youth and Children's Ministries up to Y13 including the Safer Recruitment, equipping and encouragement of a team of volunteers. 3. Supporting Christian parents to guide and nurture their youth and children in Christian discipleship. 4. Growing our connections with local schools. 5. Partnering the Staff Team and volunteers in general parish ministry. 6. Attending PCC meetings as required.

We are seeking someone who loves Jesus, lives in a way that commends the Gospel and is: a. Committed to knowing Jesus better through His Word and helping others to do so; b. Trained and Experienced in discipling youth, children and their families; c. Passionate about reaching out with the gospel; d. Able to minister in a diverse church and community; e. Gifted in encouraging and equipping others to serve.

Trained in, and committed to ministry that recognizes the Bible is God's written Word and is central to discipleship and evangelism. iv. Experienced in ministry to children, youth an d their families. v. Familiar with pastoral care among people from diverse backgrounds. vi. Capable of working independently as well as partnering other members of the Staff Team lay leaders and volunteers vii. Willing to live within or near, the parish of Gleadless Valley
