The assistant will support the vicar in his teaching God's word and training Christians for their service. In particular, to take up opportunities in local schools.

Responsibilities

Preaching, praying, taking assemblies, supporting ministry to the youth in church, co-leading a mid-week discipleship group.

- A disciple of Christ, committed to living for him - Agreement with the ReNew statement of faith (https://www.renewconference.org.uk/statementoffaith/) and the gospel partnerships doctrinal basis (https://lgp.org.uk/values/) - Prayerful - Willing to serve as a messenger for God and a servant of others - Ability to teach the Bible in sermons, assemblies, in small groups and one-to-one - Ability to motivate, lead, and encourage a team of volunteers - Ability to engage in personal work - Self-motivated

Other

The successful candidate will be encouraged to attend residential training events and to attend a summer residential youth venture (CYFA/ Pathfinder) This appointment is conditional on a full DBS clearance.
