Associate Minister (Families, Youth & Children)

The Associate Minister shares in the pastoring of the congregation, contributes to the leadership of the church, and preaches and leads gatherings on Sundays.

Responsibilities

The oversight and development of all aspects of families, youth and children's ministry. In particular: the equipping of parents, evangelism and discipleship of youth and children, and the inclusion of all these into the life of the church.

Required skills

First-hand experience of leading or coordinating activities for children of all ages in a Christian context, including Bible teaching and small-group ministry. (Essential) Experience of leading, recruiting and working within a team. (Essential) Able to motivate themselves and others, take the initiative and manage time effectively. (Essential) Managed and/or mentored staff or trainees in Christian ministry (Desirable) Experience of pastoral ministry amongst a diverse congregation (Desirable)
