Assistant Minister

Great opportunity to serve as a member of a Ministry Team in a city-centre church

Responsibilities

The Assistant Minister will be a member of the church's Ministry Team that, under the leadership of the Senior Pastor, will provide leadership and support to the members and ministries of the church. This will often take the form of "equipping the saints for ministry". However, it is also envisaged that the Assistant Minister will be personally involved in leading some of those ministries.

Required skills

Qualifications - Whilst a theological qualification (e.g. degree or equivalent) may be beneficial for the role, it is not deemed essential. Experience - Similarly, past experience in full/part-time ministry is not a pre-requisite for this role. Teachable - The ideal candidate would be open to teaching and development, willing to grow in leadership of a variety of church ministries. Servant-hearted - A willingness to lead by example, serving and supporting the members and ministry leaders within the fellowship. Unity – It is essential that the right candidate: - agrees with and supports the vision, purpose and values of Gerrard Street Baptist Church, and prioritises and pursues unity as a member of the ministerial and staff team.
