Calvary Church Loughrea are looking for someone to work with us full-time from August/September 2023 joining a church plant and also continuing to develop a church planting culture for rural communities in Ireland.
Work alongside the Lead Pastor to implement a shared vision for ministry. Pastoral care and counselling Involvement in Sunday services; leading and regular preaching. Develop systems which move people from unreached through to maturing believer. This includes (but not limited to) the training of believers to share their faith and the running of membership classes. Develop and help to implement a process for the raising up, training and equipping of new gospel workers to see churches planted across rural Ireland as part of the Glúnta initiative. A maturing follower of Jesus Christ who is of godly character and reputation. A man who meets the qualifications for eldership of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:6-9 Is in agreement with the Doctrinal Basis of Calvary Church Loughrea. (https://www.calvarychurchloughrea.com/beliefs) Demonstrates a deep love for people and a passion for both discipleship and evangelism. 2 years of experience as a staff member in a ministry leadership capacity. (preferred but not essential). Bachelor's degree aligned with the role is required. Theological training strongly preferred; extensive knowledge of the Bible and theological application is required. Detail-orientated with administrative, organisational and interpersonal skills. ensures that all tasks are done correctly, thoroughly, and with precision. Passionate about developing leaders and committed to seeing church planting churches established across rural Ireland. Positive and encouraging in communication while working with others. Maintains appropriate discretion and confidentiality regarding personal and pastoral matters.
We would like to appoint someone with third level theological education, the gift of teaching God's word, the ability to train others in word-based ministry, and the capacity to develop disciples to maturity of faith. Experience and understanding of the Irish church scene and Irish culture are desirable. The position offered is a 3 year appointment, which may be further extended by mutual agreement. Applicants should have a clear evangelical faith and baptistic convictions. This will be a salaried position that will be in line with a pastoral salary scale which will be discussed on application.
