The Proclamation Trust is one of the UK's leading providers of training in Biblical preaching and teaching. This is an opportunity to join our team and be at the heart of our conferences operation which runs a dozen conferences a year for church workers

Responsibilities

Based in our busy London office near Elephant and Castle station, you will take the lead in all aspects of conference administration, dealing with speakers, venues and delegates. The ability to take on the following tasks is essential: - administration and project management of all PT conferences - on the ground running of conferences - liaison point with conference speakers and helpers - booking travel and accommodation for speakers - liaison with conference centres and other venues - liaison with bookstall provider - conference accounting, budgets and reports - managing Cornhill helpers before and during the EMA - music database for conferences - music copyright contracts and reports - project management of the production & mailing of PT brochure The ability to take on some of the following tasks would be desirable: - desktop publishing - graphic design work, e.g producing adverts for conferences - managing social media campaigns - administration for other elements of the work of PT

Required skills

Suitable candidates will be highly efficient and organised administrators, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and have excellent communication skills. Previous experience in events management is not a requirement: we will provide full training and guidance. This is an ideal opportunity for a skilled administrator seeking to specialise into events and conferences.

Other

The role is based at our offices at Elephant and Castle with some opportunity for flexible/remote working. The salary is around £30,000 per annum. The role will involve several overnight stays at residential conferences for 2 or 3 nights, usually midweek. The post is initially for a fixed term contract till August 2023, but the successful candidate will be particularly well placed for a role within the enlarged conferences team which is planned from summer 2023 as we expand our conference programme. It is a genuine occupational requirement that the office holder be in sympathy with the aims and beliefs of The Proclamation Trust.
