Associate Pastor

At KBC we sense God is doing a 'new thing' amongst us as we emerge from the pandemic. Through the preaching of God's Word and prayer we are increasingly aware of God's grace towards us and are seeking an Associate Pastor to compliment our team.

Responsibilities

Oversight of pastoral care. This will include providing pastoral care, leading the Pastoral Care Hub and working closely with our Pastoral Worker Sharing in the preaching and teaching, on Sundays and other contexts Coordinate the 'home groups' and their teaching and discipleship Encourage a culture of discipleship, through one-to-one support, groups or in other contexts

Required skills

A passion for God and His word with a clear gifting in handling God's word faithfully A proven heart for caring for God's people in the complexities of their lives An ability to lead and work well within a team An understanding of the interface between pastoral care and discipleship Preferably an ordained Baptist Minister

In this new chapter at KBC we are experiencing God deepen our bond of fellowship and care for each other in our church family. We have been blessed with many community links where we are seeking to bring God's love and truth through each of these. There are several ministries within the church that support our congregation, each of which are knowing God's renewed provision. All of this is overarched by our new vision statement; 'Growing Disciples Who Love Jesus.' Kirkintilloch is a small town ten miles north of Glasgow. We have a membership of 330 with a growing number attending on Sunday. We are grateful to have a wonderful team led by our Senior Pastor. We pray that God will lead us to the right person for the Associate Pastor role, at this time of refreshing and growth.
